We can pick up from the airport, hotel or any commercial address in downtown Iquitos.

We recommend taking flights that arrive early in the morning (8:30 a.m. - 11 a.m.). Arrival in Iquitos must be before 2:00 p.m. local time on the day of check in. Departure flight must be later than 11:30 a.m. local time on the day of check out. This is done to avoid navigating the river in the dark.

Every guide is fluent in English and Spanish. With sufficient notice and an additional fee, other languages can be arranged.

We have solar powered electricity for almost 24 hours a day to power your fan and charge your devices. The voltage in each outlet is 220 V so all devices should be checked beforehand to see if an adapter is required.

There is no Wi-Fi or cell service available so please come ready to turn off your devices and enjoy the wonders of the amazon rainforest.

How much free time you will have will depend on how active you would like to be during your trip. During free time hammocks, games, and books are available on the second floor of the main lodge. Our guests also enjoy spending time on the floating platform enjoying the view or relaxing in their treehouse.

All year round.

December through March is high water season which means that excursions take place in boats more often than in low water season (April through November). No matter what time of year you choose to visit, you will see incredible wildlife and have an amazing experience.

Generally the least busy time is during January and February so if you’re looking to avoid the crowds then you can check availability during that time.

We offer up to 6 excursions per day. That includes up to 3 during the day and up to 3 during the afternoon and night.

If you are looking for a more relaxing experience, you can choose one or two excursions in either time slot to better fit your plans.

A deposit of five hundred dollars per treehouse is required at the time of booking and full payment is due 30 days prior to your arrival.

Deposits are fully refundable until the date of final payment at which time all payments become non refundable.

We recommend bringing a small amount of cash or a card (if you are ok with extra fees) to use for soda or alcoholic beverages, tips, and souvenirs.

All of the treehouses are connected by bridges, except for treehouses 8 and 3. To access these two treehouses you will use their private staircases.

Each year the treehouses are inspected by an arborist. They are made of very durable materials, built to code, and constantly reviewed to make sure they are safe for every guest as well as for the trees where they are built.

Although it is generally very safe, you should always take the necessary travel precautions.

During your time at the lodge we have well trained, trusted guides to provide safe transportation to the lodge, necessary precautions and safety features in the lodge and during your excursions, and safe transportation back to Iquitos at the end of your trip.

It is approximately a two and a half hour trip.

Your journey to the lodge will consist of an hour and fifteen minute car ride. Then we will make a quick pit stop and transfer to the Treehouse river boat. There you’ll ride for another hour and fifteen minutes on the water, first down the Marañón River, across the Amazon River, and then up the Ucayali River before connecting to the Yarapa River where the Treehouse amazon Lodge sits.

Each treehouse is equipped with a private shower, toilet, and sink with running water.
