We spent 3 nights in this truly unique place. Many of the amenities of a 5 star hotel, in the top of a tree in the Amazon rainforest. The staff service was very professional, the food was great and the excursions were “once in a lifetime”. There was never any concern about finding our way thru the unusual transportation modes, in fact that was one of the highlights of our stay. We loved riding 6 inches above the water level in a dugout canoe. The piranha fishing lake was a fantastic photo op.
Overall, our stay was a “never to be forgotten” experience. I enjoyed all the excursions, especially our visit to the native communities, the night boat rides and the monkey watching. The excursions were so well coordinated that we were constantly going, with no time to wonder what to do next.
The walkways, swinging bridges and stairs added a spirit of intrigue but we never felt threatened for our safety. Staying at the Treehouse Lodge has indeed been an “Experience” unlike any I ever expect to have again during my lifetime.
